A short distance from the oceean at a nearby park, the City of Huntington Beach will host the 2018 Huntington Beach Summer Concert Series, a tradition that will be going on for its 45th year. Every Sunday evening, a different artist or band will perform music for the entire family to enjoy. Each performance hits a different genre, from jazz to vintage, from swing to band performances from local high schools; this concert series has a bit of everything for everyone. The Hangar, located in the north-central section of the fair, presents live music by local musical talent and tribute bands. Autosonic Concerts presented a series of drive-in concerts last July through September, including musical acts like Beatles tribute band The Fab Four and Pink Floyd tribute band Which One's Pink. Pacific Amphitheatre officially reopened on July when it hosted the annual OC Brew Hee Haw Craft Beer Roundup, which featured a trio of tribute acts on its stage. Like many large events in 2020, the annual fair was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. Tribute bands have made a big comeback, judging by the overflow crowd that enjoyed last Friday's performance of Elton—The Early Years, a tribute to Elton featuring Kenny Metcalf as the music legend. The annual event features the return of many favorite attractions and a few notable differences.

While more than one million guests came out for the fun this year, there was a drop from the 2019 attendance of 1,393,482 guests.
